Amalia Restaurant & Cafe
About This Spot
Stepping into Amalia Restaurant & Cafe is like finding a serene pause by the water’s edge. Nestled on Amwaj Island with gentle seaside breezes brushing through, the space invites you to slow down and savor moments that feel quietly special. Whether morning’s soft light spills over a relaxed breakfast or the evening unfolds with the warm hum of shared conversations, there’s a genuine calmness here that encourages connection—both with the food and those around you.
The atmosphere balances thoughtful comfort with an approachable charm. It’s the kind of place where friendly greetings come naturally and the pace is unhurried, letting you settle in without rush. Soft chatter, the occasional clink of coffee cups, and the subtle scent of fresh herbs and spices blend seamlessly with views of the marina, setting a peaceful stage for whatever you choose to enjoy.
Food at Amalia flows happily between tradition and ease—a thoughtful collection of dishes that feel like a familiar embrace. Breakfast here is a quiet celebration of hearty classics and delicate flavors, while the menu’s wider offerings explore Middle Eastern staples with care and freshness. You might find yourself lingering over a satisfying mix grill, sharing mezze that’s bright with herbs, or warming up with a comforting bowl of chicken soup or lentil stew. Complement these with expertly brewed coffee or a carefully crafted cocktail, and you have an experience rooted in both the everyday and a subtle sense of occasion.
Amalia is not just about what’s on the plate or in the glass, but the moments woven in between—the kindness of the staff who make you feel genuinely seen, the rhythm of tranquil enough to breathe in deeply, and the gentle bustle of a place well-loved by locals who come for the taste, the view, and the quiet pleasure of simply being. It’s a space that invites return visits, not for spectacle, but for its honest, welcoming heart.

Amazing restaurant & cafe by the Marina. The service is great, especially Ms. Fatima, she is a super nice person. The food was delicious, fresh, well cooked and presented. The portions are big. I give the food 9.5/10. They serve a wide range of Lebanese and Arabic food and many options of beverage, tea pots and coffee.

Nice and quiet place, the outside view is more than wonderful, this is my second visit to this restaurant and it was not as successful as the first time, You have to work on delights and cold drinks The family area on the second floor is very confined. A section of the first floor must be separated for families, as the restaurant changed into a coffee shop to serve shisha. Possible to visit again, but not with the family.

Highly recommended!!! One of the best restaurants in town! The team, the atmosphere, and the overall experience are always exceptional and worth visiting. We always feel at home here, the team is so welcoming, greeting us with smiles from the moment we arrive. They are truly the best! I believe this positive energy and attitude comes from their amazing manager, Adel. This will always remain my favorite restaurant and team!
